 Cynthia MackeyOwner, Therapist, LPCCS Cynthia is an alumnus of Western Kentucky University and attended graduate school at Capella University where she received a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Owner and Clinical Director of Balance Therapeutic Care, Counseling Services, LLC, and Founder of the Supportive Roads mentoring program. Cynthia also teaches parenting classes in the Bowling and Scottsville area and is a Certified Autplay Therapist. Cynthia contributes over 30 years of working with children ranging from 3-18 years of age. Her specialties include working with the special needs population, problematic behaviors, ADHD, ODD, FASD, Autism, intellectual challenges, etc. |

 Carolyn Kates-GlassConsultant, Therapist, LCSW Carolyn an alumnus of Western Kentucky University and attended graduate school at the University of Louisville where she received a Master’s in Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Supervisor, and Consultant. Carolyn has had experience working for various agencies and positions within the field. She has also served on the Kentucky Consumer Advocate Network, plus a number of other boards and committees that she’s served on, has received multiple awards, and is a Certified Autplay Therapist. Carolyn also contributes around 30 years of being in the field of Mental Health and has worked with a variety of ages and diagnoses. Her specialties include working with children, adolescents, families, providing individual services as well as occasional family therapy. Various diagnoses include Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, etc. |

 Will MontelliTherapist, LPCA Will graduated with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling in May 2021 from Western Kentucky University. He is extremely excited to start as an official counselor with Balance and is already operating as a therapist mentally when he approaches clients. He has been at Balance for a whole year and states that it’s the best agency to work for. Before being at Balance he was an ABA Therapist/Registered Behavioral Technician for two years in which he was providing behavioral modification therapy for children with Autism. Due to this prior experience, he specialized in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. While he does have this background in behavior modification and children, he also has experience and enjoy working with teens and adults. Some people come to counseling because they seek advice. He believes that clients have the answers within themselves, the job of the counselor is to support the client in finding that answer. He likes to challenge his clients because mental health is a serious issue and it takes active participation in order to treat it. |
 Kristin MajorsTherapist, Career Counselor, LPCA Kristin graduated May 2021 with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Kentucky University. She has a certificate in College and Career Readiness as well, as her passion is in Career Counseling. S have experience working with age groups four-years-old to adults and clients seeking Career Counseling. She has also worked as a Mental Health Specialist within the child and adolescent unit at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital for over three years and has experience working with a wide range of clients and diagnoses.
In therapy, she loves to incorporate play therapy and behavioral therapy techniques with children as well as family systems, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other various therapy techniques with all my clients.
Kristin believes therapy is a great opportunity for clients to explore, learn new tools to overcome obstacles, and grow so that they may be their best selves and thrive. Her biggest passion is joining clients along that journey. |
 Stephanie BeltSubstance Abuse Therapist, LPCA Stephanie is a graduate student intern from Western Kentucky University who will be graduating Summer 2021 with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has previous experience working with individuals and families fleeing domestic violence as a Crisis Intervention Advocate at BRASS. She also has previous experience working with survivors of sexual assault as an advocate at Hope Harbor. Throughout her internship, she has worked with kids aged 4-14 who present with a variety of behavioral issues. Stephanie has a person-centered approach with interest in growing her skill set in mindfulness and behavior modification. |
 Jessica RogersTherapist, LPCA Jessica Rogers is a Alumni of Western Kentucky University and is currently a Master's student at the University of the Cumberlands. Currently, she is an intern with Balance while working towards getting licensed to become a Mental Health Therapist. She has 10 years of combined experience working with youth in the foster care system as well as the behavioral health field. Jessica enjoys working with youth ages 12-18. |
